About CharityGlow
Built by people who actually run nonprofits.
We are a small, distributed team of fundraisers, WordPress engineers and nonprofit comms managers. We built CharityGlow because every WordPress donation plugin out there was either too expensive, too bloated, or written by people who had never actually run a campaign.

How we got here
The 4-year story behind CharityGlow.
We did not build this in a startup accelerator. We built it in the field — running campaigns, answering support tickets, fixing broken gateways and importing 12,000-doner CSVs at 2am.
2022
The Orphanage CSV Nightmare
Our founder Rafi volunteered as tech for a Dhaka orphanage. They lost 3 donor payment reports in 6 weeks. The $19K/year fundraising platform they were using charged 2.9% per donation AND a platform fee. He built the first version of CharityGlow in 3 weekends and replaced it.
2023
WordPress.org Launch · Free Plugin
First public release on WordPress.org. Within 6 months it was active on 1,100 sites — with zero marketing. All users came from word-of-mouth between nonprofit comms managers. We learnt everything from the 700+ support tickets.
2025
Turning point
CharityGlow Pro · Theme · 40+ Launches
Pro launched with recurring donations, PDF receipts and the Elementor widget suite. Then Theme — with 8 niche demo importers. By the end of the year we had 40 service launches (CBOs, orphanages, INGO sub-grantees, disaster relief groups) in 18 countries.

Today · CharityGlow.com
We now serve nonprofits on 6 continents. CharityGlow.com is the new home for the plugin, Pro, Theme, services and documentation — everything in one place. Agency program opens Q2. Sustainable, bootstrapped, no investors, no per-donation fees, no plans to sell.
